I was looking at the port cover for the fuel pump and was wondering if I could very slightly enlarge the port holes on the port cover for the fuel pump to improve fuel flow by increasing the the vacuum. Has anyone done this? 86' 85hp force

Haven't done it.
Don't know why you would want to.
That pump can supply more fuel than the motor can use.

NO! Won't do anything. Port size is quite sufficient for its intended use and enlarging will only increase the chance of ripping the diaphragm.

Pressure and vacuum only ranges from 2 to 6 PSI and the stock port area will always be able to fully deflect the diaphragm.

Same pump supplies fuel to a 125 so it is more than enough for an 85.
