On a recent fishing trip I gased up the 95 Ford 5.0L efi ,Volvo outdrive W/89 octane and it ran great even in high seas {Lk. Huron} The next day it started belt squeeling and backfiring and popping /stalling/ surging when throttle applied, I barely made it back to port. Later that same day
in the driveway with the water ears on it ran great, even in gear and reved up. The metal finned air filter was carboned up though,
[as a result of the backfireing?} So I cleaned it blew it out with Compressed air reinstalled it. And like I said it ran fine. any ideas? wasteing good perchin time. Anyone else run across this sudden problem? Help!!
