This is added information since my original post:
I have twin 5.7 MPIs on a 28 ft boat. When I accelerate from just about any rpm the boat bogs (slows down for a while before it gradually gains rpms. It is only on the straboard engine. Also, about 30% of the time I come off plane the starboard engine stalls and is very hard to start. I had a mechanic put a computer on and it showed no codes. We did pull off the ECT sensor for engine temperature and the bogging went away but not the hard starting problem. We replaced the ECT sensor and the thermostat.
I swapped the two on board computers and no change. The fuel pressure reading on the port engine is 24 and on the starboard engine is 50.
Sometimes after engine stalls and I restart the idle just keeps going up so high I have to shut it down. I purchased the manual but still can't figure anything out.
Any ideas?
