I purchased a 1986 bayliner with a force 85hp. my questions are how do i properly trim the motor. i was given two metal pins to use. one is straight the other is shaped like half a square. also how do i lock the motor up to keep the prop out of the water when docked? I have a manual trim/tilt system. can find any info in the repair manual.

the half square things braces your motor in the up position for storage and towing. The straight pin sets how far down your engine drops when you take it off the trailer and go boating.

What about the trim stop? What is that used for. Also will the pin that is used for storage and towing raise the motor high enough keep my prop out of the water when docked?
