New Member Sport Jet question

Hello all, new to the forum. I am running a 94 Dynasty Sport Jet 90. Runs well but the boat is almost 1000 lbs and she can barely get up to 32 mph. Has anyone tried to put a larger power-head on the existing jet drive system? Love the boat but needs more power.

the crank spline is unique to the sport jet ,No way to adapt another powerhead to it . the problem is the jet drive is very inefficient on these boats , going to overhaul mine this winter and try some mods to pick up speed . 32 is not that bad check all the tuning settings and jet drive settings for the reverse gate and you could get 38 out of the boat but that is the max for a 90 , most do about 32 to 36 mph . Also check the hull and be sure the ride plate is not bent .

the carb adjustment is critical for these motors .. keep that in mind
