I hope someone can help me verify this engine coupler. The box it came in has a part #76850A 2. I need #76850A 2 for my Mercrusier/Alpha1 SBC305 1984 vintage engine but the one that was in the box is not the correct one.
Note the bolt pattern.

This is the old coupler I need to replace.

Can someone ID the new one and tell me which application it will apply to?

Ayuh,... My Guess is it's for a 1987 or Later Chevy motor....

Without some measurements, it's abit of a Tough call...

Overall appearance/size is the same as the old one. The bolt holes on the new one measure 3" across the center plus the new one has one offset hole. My old one measures 3 5/8".

Thanks Bond-O. Can you tell me what the 598 number on the inside means?

Thanks again Bond-O. Would you know the Mercruiser part # for the new coupler in the picture?

I'll start digging. Shouldn't be too hard to find. 3" crank mounting holes for a 1987 Mercruiser or newer! Wish I could find someone in need of this one so I can buy the correct one. I would rather make someone a good deal then go buy the correct one from iBoat. - God knows there can't be a value placed on "All the knowledge I have gained from this site". Just don't want to get in trouble with our sponsors from iBoat!
