fuel supply problem, 89 merc 80hp

I am having a fuel suppy problem with my merc. It runs fine but will lose pressure in the line after 10-15mins of run time. If I pressure the lines up with an air compressor to look for leaks will this show my where my problems is? Is pressure the same as vaccum? I pressured it up and found no leaks but I am being told that vaccum works different and this means nothing. Please help!

It sounds like a fuel tank venting problem. Does the primer bulb collapse? Can you try a remote portable fuel tank, to rule out the built in tank as an issue?

The bulb does not collapse however it is usually depressurized when I have this problem, the fuel filter is usually almost empty when it starts acting up. I do have a portable tank and will try it so I can rule out the tank as my problem. Thanks.
