here are the big boys
and if we won the big lottery, all we could do is just buy the fuel for one of these babies... the price is behind the name

I like my little wee boat that I own and paid for with many years of hard work

Re: the top five

I would rather have 10,000 Boston Whalers than one of those.

Very nice if you want to cruise the world :)
Not for family fun times though.

I was watching a documentary the other day on one of the companies that build those massive yachts. I have true appreciation for the organization that is required of the builder, from design to finished product. The designs are truly a work of art.

It costs more to start one of those things than I spend all year.

Something really old, elegant and would make people just stop and watch...

Or something mega fast like a Warren 77' that would be named Victorias Secret.

Re: the top five

I spent some time reading the life stories of the guys who own these and I think they are just as fascinating as the yachts themselves. There is a russian who owns 3 or 4 super yachts whose story was the most interesting. The guy has the worlds largest privately funded security forces if that says anything. A little bit of corruption, a lot of hanging out with the russion brass. I need to get into Yeltsin's inner circle.

Another interesting fact is a lot of these superyachts show up at Saint Barthelemy for New Years. I'm hoping to plan a trip to the island for New Years this year.
