Line cutter busted on prop assembly

The wire rope I use to attach the towing rope got tangled in the prop and As soon as it happened I killed the engine. As I removed the prop I realized it had busted up the line cutter in the prop assembly. Could this be a reason why the boat did not perform as well? I am ordering the part but I am worried something else got damaged. Thanks for the help.

Line cutter? Are you referring to the fishing line seal?

Ayuh,... Hard to say,... Donno what ya Got... Bilgeliner builds boats, not motors or Drives...
