Hi,
I have a 1998 Ford F-150
I just finished diagnosing a no Brake/Turn light condition on my boat trailer. The wiring was fine; so it's a fuse; right?
Well....reading the Truck's owner's manual...It described the location and purpose of all the fuses....but no mention of a fuse that overlooks the Brake?Turn circuits on trailer-tow wiring.
A search of the net turned up this page....
http://www.f150online.com/forums/el...n-trailer-towing-light-problem-1998-f150.html
and the answer to the problem,. Ford had left out a page of the 1998 Owner's Manual; the very page that I needed.
As the picture shows...there is a THIRD fusebox...in the engine compartment by the Brake Booster that houses fuses for the trailer towing wiring.
Hope this helps someone....
Chuck
