I have changed from a 302 888 to a 351 windsor 888. The 302 at 4200 rpm would only reach a temp of 168. The 351,with all new stat and impeller and standard circulating pump,and stock exhaust manifolds with thru hulls, will reach a temp of 180 at 3800 rpm and continue to climb unless i start backin it down. The belts tight an the circ pumps good. Even retarded timing 2 degrees. This does not have a seawater pump system. Any ideas?
