I have a 1999 3.3 hp Johnson that will not run good @ full speed, obtaining only about 1/2 or 3/4 of the rpm it should be turning. It just out of the blue started doing this so I assumed something got into the carb and blocked a jet. But after cleaning, it still did it. Changed the plug and still the same. changed fuel, still the same. So I started it with out the covers and breather on (for a very short period of time) and I noticed that when I go full throttle there is fuel spitting out the breather side of the carb. What would be a possible cause for this to happen? I'm thinking reid valve. Thanks for any advice. Rench

There is always a bit of spitting at full throttle. I would try a different hose/tank for testing, if no improvment decarbon with sea foam.
