15hp chrysler Model 152b9e S/N 2015.
motor is overheating, pulled water pump & inpeller doesnt 'look' bad at all although outside wall is not as smooth as it could be...no seals or gaskets anywhere? is that right? is there a thermostat in this motor? should I just replace the impeller even though it looks fine? any idea on year? I cant find it anywhere???
thanks,
Paul

Re: chrysler 15 overheating

I think there's a model # search function on here, but a quick google search
of "Chrysler Outboard Model Numbers" linked a page that says yours is a 1989?

For whatever that's worth. A lot of the parts I think are the same across several years. And, don't just trust me on this wait until somebody with
real knowledge chimes in, I think I remember seeing that the 9.9/15 are
all interchangeable parts with the biggest diff being carbs?
