Just lost my entire Labor Day weekend on the water due to a cracked oil tank on my 2006 50 ELPTO Merc.! Thought people would like to know that Mercury has had over 200 complaints on this issue and claims it was to due to a sub-standard vendor. They have agreed to replace my tank at no cost, as I will install the new one myself. Probably the end of our season in upstate NY, but I am thrilled that they stood behind a four year old engine. If you have this problem, check with them first!!!!
