If my 93 mercruiser 3.0l alpha one has two exhaust exits on the transom assy, then why does it exit at the prop also?

I suspect relief from having to push as deep as the prop.

drop a hose 3 feet under water and try to blow through it

must be easier to blow at 1 foot deep....

I'm going to have to try that tomorrow.... more for my neighbors to wonder about :)
