Looking for right prop for my 1992 23' trophy that is equiped with 4.3L (2-bbl 200hp +/-) engine and Alpha-One Gen II (CR, 1.47 ratio) outdrive.
The boat with 4-6 passenger, half tank and misc probably runs 4500-5000LBS. The boat currently runs at 25-27mph at WOT (4000 rpm). The comfortable range (cruising)for the engine is 3200-3500 rpm. The current prop is an aluminum, 3-blade, Michigan 16"x16 pitch unit. I purchased boat with a nickel-sized slug missing from one blade.The boat has an after market "SE sport fin" and gets on plane easily.
Experienced some additional (minor) prop damge last weekend and need a new prop.The boat is used for cruising and pulling 3-person raft. Don't need great hole shot capacity but low to mid-range acceleration is important so raft is not swamped.
I'd like to cruise at 25-27 mph and have 32-34 mph at WOT, don't know if this boat/motor configuration can get there?
