I have an older set of controls that worked on my 1971 20hp, but not so well on my 1975 40hp.
The mercontrols have a black housing and blue lettering, year is unknown.
Is this the incorrect set of controls or should i keep trying to adjust the cylinder until i get the correct travel?
i have both throttle and shift moving at the same time. Before the shift travel is over the throttle is activated.
