Hello Everyone,
I'm a newbie here. Can anyone tell me why my '97 Force 120 Outboard is hard to start after tilted all the way up for 3 hours towing to dock? Once it started, it runs like a champ. However, when it was at home and tilted down close to the ground level, it started right up. Is there anything wrong with motor? What do I have to do? Many thanks - Anthony

"Hard to start" in what way? Turns over, won't fire?
Check the connections on the fuel lines at both the motor, the tank, etc.
Also, how's your fuel filter? Does it always have an issue starting after
being towed to the water, or is this a one time thing?
I know on my little 50hp, I'm always forgetting to pump the fuel bulb,
so it could be something very simple that you're just overlooking.

If you are tilting up the motor and then trying to start you need to pump the ball and maybe choke it.J
