OMC 800 outdrive freeplay.

With my outdrive in the down and straight ahead there is about 3/8 inch of freeplay when you grab the outdrive and move it from left to right. This movement is measured at the back end of the cavitation plate. Are there any opinions as to whether this is proper or not?<br /><br />-------------------<br />Another perfect California Day in the not so perfect Pacific Northwest.

Mine does the same thing. While under power you can't move it so easily.
