I just bought a 1978 Ez Loader and had to get the vin # from the plate on the tongue. As others have found out the numbers are unreadable.
I used a Sharpie felt pen to ink over the area of the numbers, then rubbed with a damp cloth. (a licked finger works too) The numbers showed up clear and readable.
