Where does Tach connect?

I have a Volvo Penta 5.0 in a 1996 Four Winns Candia. The Tach is not currently working and there is a wire that appears disconnected back by the alternator. Where is the tach suppose to be connected to on this motor?

Tach is connected to the coil. Wire at the alt. not connected maybe something to look into?
