Hello again all,
I'm back for a second post in regards to my 70 hp Johnson stalling after being at full throttle for 30 seconds. I took it back out on the water and tried to notice all that was going on when the engine stalled. I had my assistant keep squeezing the fuel bulb at the tank, and it made no difference in the stalling issue. I did notice however that if I let the engine cool down(30 -45) minutes, it fired right back up. If I took it back out, as soon as it's run at full throttle for 30 seconds it dies and is hard to start until it cools down. Could my problem be on the electrical side of the motor, and if so where do I look for a problem. I also noticed that the bulb on the oil tank is extremely hard and never goes down. Even after the boat sits for a couple of days. Is this normal?
Thanks, Steve
