I have an 88 Johnson VRO GT 150 with the oil injection disconnected and mixing 50:1. My problem is the engine will shut down even at crusing speed or during idle. I have checked everything I know and still no results> Any help would be great , thanks

Re: shut down problem

Is the fuel tank vented? That happened to mine once. Maybe a cracked fuel line or other air leak in fuel system.

Re: shut down problem

I dont know all the details but one thing to try is as your looking at the motor from the back there will be a little black box on the left side about 3/4 of the way up the engine. There should be a bunch of wires coming from underneath with one being a black ground, check that wire and see if its grounding good and not broken. Again dont know what exactly your motor is doing but I imagine you have already done fuel/air/spark checks.
