Rebuilt '73 135 hp Evinrude. Converted to run on unleaded fuel. New control box. 120 to 124 psi on all 4. Started the year w/ #3 not firing. Mechanic re-timed and adjusted carbs and all 4 are firing and speed on the Graph is right at WOT for this boat. Problem is after sitting and fishing for a while I can not accelerate. After a couple of minutes of inching the throttle up, she will finally take off. Does not do this when first used, and will not do it if I shut it down, then re-start after only a minute or so. A mechanic says it wouldn't be the fuel pump, or it would do it all the time. Anyone have any bright ideas?
