Ok.. I know I ask a lot of questions! We found this one today and it appears to be the one my wife likes the best. It is a Four Winns Horizon Limited 5.7 Volvo I/O V8. It also has the Volvo outdrive. Any problems that anyone is aware of with these motors? One thing I forgot to ask the dealer is the horsepower. Anyone know?<br />Smitty

smitty. depending on the model(boat) your fouwinns will have 3/ 5.0 ltr engine options. the firstis a 220hp GL/SX. THE SECOND IS A 250HP GI/SX. OR THE 250+ GI/SX. DUO PROP. if you have the horizon 180-230 you may have any of these engines. chances are its a 220. since that is the most affordable 5.0ltr motor. that most boaters will purchase with there boat.

sorry smitty. wrong info. i have the 5.0 gl/sx in my horizon 180. there are 4 5.7 ltr motors availablestarting with the horizon 200 since OMC went belly up. fourwinns will have to look at other markets for power. till then. the volvo engine,penta outdrive. will have to do. the 5.7ltr GS/SX STARTS AT 250HP.200 horizon. 5.7GS/DOUPROP 250HP+ 5.7 GSI/SX-280HP and the 280HPgsi/sx duoprop. the volvo engines lag 1-2 HP compared to OMC-MERC. SURPRISED. its true look for numbers on your boat. that should tell you what you have. if it was a special order>
