Starter doesn't work after accential reverse of polarity

I have a 2010 Tohatsu 9.8 HP 4 Stroke with starter and alternator. On one fine morning the battery terminals were put on in reverse. Of course the motor didn't start. The situation was quickly corrected but the starter no longer turns the motor. It does start fine with the pull start.

I am assuming there is some diode or fuse that is out, or there is some single item that needs replacing. I looked through all the fuses but didn't see anything that was in obvious need of replacement. Does anybody have some ideas where to start looking?

I believe you will find an inline fuse somewhere that is blown. Look again.

If you can't find any blown fuses just by looking at them, test them with a meter. You can also jump from your battery directly to the starter to see if it works or is burnt out. This can be done while still on the motor or the starter can be taken off and put in a vice. You will get a little spark while touching the positive cable to the positive post on the starter. So don't be alarmed by it.

I fixed the problem. I found a inline fuse. In fact there was a replacement fuse with it! If I only knew that while I was on vacation. I would have saved a lot of pulling. Here are some pictures where it was in case anybody is interested.
