Been searching for a used block for months, most found are too corroded (water jacket leaks) or already 3rd over. Some, the prefered choice, were dipped in a reddish primer/ceramic type paint that sealed the aluminum in the water jacket areas. Prefer canadian location due to shipping issues. My engine rebuilder has had no luck so far (Marine Medics). Anyone out there in forum land have names and numbers of possible suppliers?
Thanks/
Peter

The 150 flatback block is the same part number as the 175 flatback block for all crossflow years. You could also use a 200 flatback block-same block, but with 235 porting. That may expand your search possibilities.

Would the carbs off the 175 work with the blocks mentioned?

Yes. 175 carbs on a "150" block is a 175. These early V6's used the same heads, too, 323456/457 same on 150/175/200. If you use a 200 high port block, you may want to jet those carbs up a little. The 200 carbs used 61C jets instead of the 58C jets in your 175.
