Can someone please help me.
The diaphram kit that I bought for my Mercury 4 stroke 9.9 323cc carburtor does not go in all the way in. Am I Missing something?
The diaphram is a pin attached to a round rubber seal at one end. The pin is about 2" long, but it only goes in about 1/3 of the way in.
I realized once my carb stapped working properly that my entire diaphram housing was missing, which I ordered, but it does not want to go in. Is it supposed to or did my carb collect so much sediment if you will, that it cloged this cavity? I think this may be posible, because one of the screw holes was also plugged up. What can I used to disolve this sedimentif that's waht the problem is?
My 9.9 has the same carb as the 15 hp model.
