hi I am new to this forum. I recently bought my first boat and am struggling to find the right specs on rocker arm ajustment. I have a 1995 4.3lx mercruiser (4.3 vortec) 1place told me to tighten rocker arm down till u cant turn pushrods and go 3\4 turn more. another place told me to take slack out of rocker and go 1/2 turn more that is the method i tried and ran boat about an hour and rockerarm nuts backed off and started rattling. I just got new nuts and ready to install. a gm tech a friend of mine told me that they torque the nuts to 18 ft pounds on car and pickups with 4.3 any suggestions. going to order manual but getting excited and want to get on the water.
