Help,I am at "wits end" here. I have Suzuki 9.9 2 stroke 1988. I can find inexpensive,60 dollar, spares all over the place for years up to 87. Then nothing. My prop i.d.states;8x8.5 E800,Made in Japan. Suzuki wants to charge 150.00 for a substitute 3x9x8.5,part number 58100-92D11-019.Question is; why can,t I use a repacement part at Iboats for an 87? I assume the splines are the same?Solas has a 9-1/4 8 pitch. Why would this not work? Thanks for any help

Suzuki did some changes aroung that time with special pressed-in hubs. Give
the folks at Hustler Sport Center ,McHenry, IL a call. They carry both Suzuki and Solas props

Thanks, You might be on to something. I will call them. This still does not explain why this single model of prop works in 83-87 9.9. 89 to 93 15hp. 4 stroke 9.9 in the 90,s. Rich

In my neck of the woods there is a very good Suzuki Shop called Alliance DFW (http://www.allianceboating.com/). They helped me with parts for my 1982 DT2 (2HP, 2-cycle). If you run out of local/Internet options, you might want to give them a call. I know they have a table full of used props that look good for spares... They might have something for you.
