4.3 V6 starter problems

Does anyone have an up close picture or diagram of the starter wireing for a 1988 4.3 V6 Mercrusier? I have 14+ volts to the key and the starter, but when i turn the key to start it only the engages the starter gear and does not spin the starter motor. I have a feeling that its not grounded properly, or mis-wired.

Symptoms of bad brushes, or the contact washer in the solenoid is corroded or not making contact with the starter pole, also the wire to the starter motor could be broken.

Ayuh,.... That's the symptom of a Siezed, Hydro-locked motor.....

Pull the sparkplugs,+ try turnin' it over....

with the plugs out i can turn it by hand, I know the motor is not locked up
