I just bought an old boat with a Johnson 70HP motor J70TLCRD. The motor has had a number of small problems that have been addressed. The last one is the fact that it boggs down when throttled about half way forward. I have gone through the iBoat forum posts and figured my next step is to clean the carbs. When pulling off the carbs, I was puzzled by the Primer. It looks to have a large tube for the fuel input and two nozzles for output. One of the nozzles goes to the bottom carb and the other goes to the middle and upper carbs. Is this the correct configuration and does the fuel come out of both nozzles when the Primer is in the "run" position and activated by the switch or does the fuel come out one nozzle or the other depending on position of the lever?

I can't find anything in the manual that I got.

Fuel shoots out of both small hoses to richen the fuel/oil mixture when activated by pushing the ignition key in. Look upon the primer solenoid as a electric choke.

Thanks Joe...I was aware of its purpose, I just wanted to know if fuel was supposed to come out of both nozzles. I assume that the primer (choke) functions in the same way (both nozzles) whether it is in the "run" or the "manual" position...that is my basic question.
