Bought a 74 searay with a Mercruiser 225-s ford 302, from what i've learned online it has a MC-II electric shift transmission and a TR stern drive. Had been sitting for about 6-7 yrs, got the motor running good and all other systems working but it won't shift either fwd or reverse. There are 3 wires on top of the shift motor and with engine off I get 12V on center and about 8.8V on the other two when shifted into fwd and reverse (0V on these 2 in neutral). I can't move the shift lever by hand but have not tried with eng running. The guy said everything was working when parked. Any advice on where to go from here would be great!
