Hey All!
Had a few questions and was wondering if any of you would be able to lend some assistance?
I recently purchased a boat, it is a 1980 Tempest and has a Mercruiser Alpha 120 in it (Model MCM 120). There was a leak in the hydraulic lines controlling trim up/down. I went ahead and replaced one of the lines as it looked like that was the issue but the issue persists. At this point I have a feeling it is a problem with the threads of the plate that the lines bolts into. I have attached a picture and with my horrible graphics experience have tried to point out where it is leaking.
I have checked and made sure that everything is tight yet it is still leaking which is why I believe it is an issue with the threads possibly.
Any suggestions? Would you happen to know what that part/plate would be called? I have been researching this all day, went to multiple repair shops and haven't been able to get much information.
Thanks!!
