I have a mid 90s Mercury outboard 6hp that I just purchased. Serial number OG171622 and model number FA0358-6 that I know nothing about these motors but I am learning. I went to the lake the day that I bought it and it ran fine, I took it in today and it will not get to full speed it kinda acts like it is starving for fuel. It idles fine and cranks with the first pull it just kinda has this bogging down feel during acceleration and feels alot like a miss. It has new plugs and wires. Could this be my carb? Please help this is irritating.
