CG rating plate for 10' jon boat

Hey folks,

First time here. My 14 year old son purchased a 1985 Sea Nymph flat bottom jon boat, and it does not have a CG rating plate stating hp and weight limits. Being a 1985 10' boat I wasn't even sure it had one to begin with. How can I find out if it had one, and what it may have stated? We live in Florida and he would use it in small ponds, canals and possibly inshore. Please help. Thanks

Welcome to iboats!
Yes, all boats manufactured after 1972 (or so) were required to have a capacity plate. It's not unusual to find a boat missing one.
Lowe makes Sea Nymph boats, so their 10' Little Jon should have similar specs. Look here:

Looks like 275 max weight, 2 persons totalling 180 pounds, 3HP maximum.
