My boat's a 1999 with a factory installed t-top. When I bought it one year ago there was much less pitting than there is today. All I've done to it is used 2x stainless bolts to attach a shakespeare antenna mount and drilled a hole to run the wire from it.

Can this tiny bit of SS be the cause of my corrosion?

No. What did you drill through? Is the corrosion around the drilled holes?....... or all on the surface?

You might try some light polishing with steel wool followed by waxing

It's all over. Little bits of pitting and staining.

Polish and wax ;) Light polishing compound should do it.
