Now that we both have our passports and since we are staying on Northern Lake Champlain for 3 days around labor day . . .

I was thinking to cross the border into Canada for a day trip on the boat.

Anyone know what that section of water between Rouses Point and Montreal looks like?

I see on the map St.Jean-Sur Richeliieu looks to be a bigger town and about 1/2 way between those two points mentioned.

Is that trip worth it or is it as boring as the southern most part of Lake Champlain is after you leave the last lock and head north where it's more of just a narrow canal for 20 miles, with nothing but trees to see until you get past the Ticonderoga area.

What's above Rouses Point. I would do the trip if there was maybe nice homes to see along the way or a few restaurants that we could dock and dine.

Thx
