I have an '83 Chris Craft Scorpion 210 with mercruiser outdrive. I took it out on the lake today for its first test run after interior rebuild and have alot of water leaking into the bilge area. I can see it coming in through the middle of the outdrive but I have no idea how to find exactly where it is leaking or how to stop it.
The automatic bilge pump is getting a workout!

Re: Leak in bilge from outdrive-need help

I ran water from the inside to see where it was coming out on the outside and it is running out of the very bottom of the outdrive between it and the transom. I tightened the bolts from the inside and the small gap disappeared then I sealed around the outdrive. will run it again tomorrow and see what happens.
Now i have discovered a 2nd problem. The wires going to each of the trim/sender limit switches are damaged with bare wire showing. I am going to put this new problem in another post.
