Counter rotation to standard rotation????

Does anyone know if a standard rotation lower unit will bolt up to a 2006
DF250z (counter rotation motor) without a problem.............or is there more involved in switching it to standard rotation?
I always thought rotation direction depended on the lower unit only and all motors spin clockwise. Not so sure about Suzuki though. Trying to do a little research before buying a motor I found. Thanks

I helped a friend do that to a DT150 1998. Had to change parts of the shifting linkage on the motor to make it go in right direction. You may want to look at the parts breakdowns to be sure what is needed.

thanks for the reply, looking at the Brownspoint breakdowns now... I'm thinking the 4 strokes may be a little different.
