Hi!
Ok I've got a stumper. Dealing with a 1982 50 HP Johnson, main bearing failed, crank looks toast too.
I'm showing this crank (322928) was used from 78-83 in the 40-55 HP class 2 cyl motors. 45 CI motor.

I have the next crank(328842) OMC made in 83-91 in the 40-60 HP class 2 cyl motors laying on my bench next to the bad one.

I can't see any differences. Crankshaft splines line up, flywheel interchanges, rod journels measure the same, etc.

Does anyone know what OMC did different on these? I'm about ready to just pop it in there and see how it goes.

I am not a know-it-all but, go ahead and use it.
According to my part number checks, 322928 and 328842 , both change to 334203.
You can check with your local dealer to double check.
