96 waveraider wont idle properly

it has spark and is getting fuel,when i took it out on the lake it lost power then went dead. i changed the spark plugs and now it will crank but dosnt idle properly. any help would be appricetated. it has the 701cc motor

Did it run upside down? Check the fuel filter in the line for water and try Sea Foam in the gas and carb.
