Boat launch at Lake Washington for Seafair

Hi All,

I am a new boater at Lake Washington and is ready for going to the Seafair on this Saturday. I have launched my boat at Magnuson park in the past and was wondering how crowded it will be for this weekend. How early I need to be there to avoid the crowd.
I appreciate any advice and many thanks in advance.

your best bet is to get out very early and launch at the free ramp by gasworks in lake union. Even better is to get it in the water Thursday or Friday night if you have somewhere to tie it up or moor in Seward park.

We are definitely doing seafair this year, but we all have moored boats. Good luck, and be careful in the channel.

Expect HUGE wave action leading up to the Blue Angels if you are south of 520.
