I have a question about my sons outboard, it's a 2003 175 hp Johnson, it's on a 19.5 foot Nitro bass boat, it starts fine get on plan quick and runs great for about 20 minuets, then starts to bogg down and shake, he can keep it on plane but only like at 1/4 throttle and 25 mph, any idea where to start looking for this problem?

It sounds like the SLOW system is kicking in, but it should give an alarm.
When the ignition is turned on does it do a system check ?

Did he try pumping the bulb or hitting the primer?

"SLOW" system cuts one bank of cylinders out to protect the engine.
It should give indication of some sort of alarm, a light on the tach or buzzer.
