It is a 2000 Mercury 25hp bigfoot
Yesterday morning, I forgot to open the valve on the gas tank. After 25 minutes of driving, The engine stop. I immediately opened the valve, but i think it is too late. Because the engine would run for about 2 minutes then stop again. I have to manually pump the primer in order to get the engine runs. Did I just damaged the fuel pump? I disassembled the fuel pump, and the only thing that doesn't look right is the diaphram. What is else could be wrong? Here is a picture of my fuel pump. Thanks
