Any ideas as to why this is happening .
Mercury 9.9 non big foot. Starts first time and runs smoothly. Strong jet from tell tale. Every 40 - 50 seconds while in neutral (Ticking over and slow running) A stream of Air bubbles rise from under Lower unit (Coming out of Water Intake Vent). Lasts for ten seconds then stops. Some water splutters from exhaust hole at the same time. Engine then runs for 40 - 50 seconds before repeating the above. This does NOT happen when in gear and exhaust exits through prop .
ANY ideas please...
