I have a Honda 5 hp 4 stroke that has had an issue for several years. Under moderate to maximum power, it bumps every few seconds. It feels just like the motor has bumped over a tree or something. At full throttle, I've timed it and it is almost exactly every 9 seconds. I've posted this on other forums for years spoken to countless motor dealers and no one has ever seen such a symptom.
