Tracking prob. on direct drive ski boat

When I back off the throtle quick, doing 25-40 mph, it pulls hard to the right. I have owened many tournament style boats & have not noticed this. I just bought this boat, any help would be apretiated.

Have you checked your rudder for slop? Also I would check the fins to make sure you don't have one that is damaged.

If those check out then try having a passenger sitting in the spotter seat and see if the problem goes away.
