Johnson Tilt Swap

Hi everyone, I need some input. I have access to a power tilt unit on a 1975 Johnson 85 hp motor. I have a 1979 Johnson 100 hp that I would like to switch the power tilt to. Is this possible? The switch and all the wiring appear to be there. It doesn't look too difficult, but many times I have thought the same and, well the wheels fall off from there. I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

Different set-ups with much different attachments. You might be able to booger rig it, but it's not hard to ruin them if not done right. If you can get the older one and it works, sell it and use the proceeds to buy the proper unit for your motor...
