1975 850 stator

I purchased a stator and found out it was for a 1976 850. It has 6 wirers where mine only has two. Can I use the 1976 stator?

Maybe someone here can answer your question, but if it were me, I would be on the horn with the supplier.

Sounds like a CDI stator, if in orginal box read the instructions as it state to ground additional wires to block. This stator fits 2,3 & 4 cylinder engines and if you didnt recieve the instructions go to CDI's website and download the free pdf for it....
